Couldn’t be more appreciative of the vet’s follow-up call after they were called away to an emergency. The vet took the time to discuss all the follow-up treatment options for my puppy’s teeth and explained everything in an easy to understand way. As a first time pet owner it really set my mind at ease.

We liked the puppy book reference plan to when things are due etc. – I also liked the reference to “What to do after hours”.

Dr Steven was fabulous, ‘Sam’ can be quite an aggressive and anxious cat and I have never seen him respond so positively to a Vet. Easiest vaccination appointment we’ve ever had.
The reception team were all very friendly and helpful.

I have been coming to the Canberra Vet Hospital for 20 years and would never go anywhere else. Both my dogs love their trips to the Vet because they always have positive experiences plus it reminds them of puppy school.
All front desk staff are friendly and helpful and know their stuff.
The Vets and Nurses are also always great, thought the Vet we saw most recently was our favourite.
The service and professional response to all needs was first rate. I would recommend your services to everybody.
You guys are terrific!
The Vet has always been professional and friendly. They show a true passion for animals and always looks after my dogs in the loveliest manner. They have been very thorough exploring all possible options for treatment and show much respect for owners decisions regarding options of treatment.
All staff are consistently pleasant and treat my shivering dog sympathetically.
Everything was to my expectation, very professional approach.
We have found your team extremely courteous and very knowledgeable and caring, Thank you

Canberra Veterinary Hospital has been wonderful to work with and to keep our dog Bear healthy and happy. They have gone beyond what I would have expected and we really appreciate their help and professionalism to get our boy healthy again.
Staff are very caring and professional and the front desk staff are very nice.
Vet, Nurse and staff are absolutely wonderful, thoughtful, caring and passionate about your animals. All the years I have been to them I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Nicole needs special recognition as this young lady is so polite, courteous and always a pleasure. She goes out of her way to help you. I speak very highly of her. Thank you.
The best customer service was with Hanan.
Regardless of Vet or Vet Nurse who tends to our pet we always receive professional and caring service. We have been very impressed with the Vet’s knowledge and expertise and trust their advice and recommendations.
Jess was amazing with puppy class. She was professional and caring and very patient with all the puppies (and parents) with training techniques. She was also flexible in tailoring the session to particular needs and was very responsive to any questions we had over email.
We would not hesitate to recommend your practice, and to those that we have referred to you, have also been completely satisfied.

I have always found the staff at Canberra Veterinary Hospital to be professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. They show real concern and a love for animals. The staff on reception are excellent, they are very friendly and are a credit to the hospital. I do not see this service in other service industries. Well done!
Vets, nurses and reception staff are superb. I always feel welcome and my pets are always looked after with great care and professionalism.

Staff are very professional and welcoming as soon as you enter the hospital. Every time we attend the hospital we are always treated professionally. They are very professional and knowledgeable. Clear in providing us information about our dog’s medical needs as well as calling to check how things were going and provide results. We have been long term users (10+ years) and the reason is the respect and professional treatment our dog gets every time and the staff all know him.
Dr Hay with Rocco
All staff were very professional as well as friendly. All very sympathetic and supportive at all times, particularly when we had to put our pet down – much appreciated.
Dr Steven Kijlstra listened courteously and carefully to my concerns about my dog’s behaviour, he was very helpful.
When I lived in Northside, I took my two boys (dogs) to Canberra Vet Hospital regularly. From the receptionists to all the vets whom I had the pleasure of meeting, and of course, who treated my boys, everything was exceptional from vet expertise and options to treat my boys, to the friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionists.
When one of my dogs (Bouncer) was run over and died, I was absolutely devastated and informed the Canberra Vet Hospital to update their records. I heard from the vet clinic as they expressed their condolences in my time of grief. It was absolutely unexpected and to me, shows that owners and furry family members are genuinely cared about as people, not just customers.
I can’t say enough good things about this vet practice and wished if I still lived close enough to take my furry family members there again.
Thank you to all at the Canberra Vet Hospital.
As I see our 17 year old calico cat stretching out in a patch of sun near the back door I thank heaven for Canberra Veterinary Hospital, who made it possible. Like many elderly cats, Holly has chronic kidney disease (CKD). When we lost our older cat Sassy at 19 after 3 years nursing her through CKD, we didn’t realise that Holly too was suffering from it. Unfortunately she had a much worse case. When she ‘crashed’ in May 2014 we took her to see the wonderful people at Canberra vets who had looked after Sassy so well. With Holly, we tried a new treatment, subcutaneous fluids given at home. It was hard to learn to do and she was very unimpressed, but to see her so happy and comfortable now makes it all worth it. These days, the fluids are just a few quickly forgotten minutes at the beginning of her day. Thanks very much to the Canberra Veterinary Hospital who helped us keep Holly alive and happy. We wouldn’t have Holly right now without you and we’re grateful.
I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to all the lovely staff who not only helped Scruffy during his recent stay, but also provided me with assurance he was getting the best care. I appreciate the calls you all made to give me an update every day. The professional, friendly, supportive manner of all the staff is greatly appreciated and I wanted you to know how valuable this has been. Scruffy is enjoying the day at home with me relaxing in front of the fire! Thanks again.
My beloved cat Puffy came to Canberra Vet Hospital with multiple health issues. I was very protective of Puffy and wouldn’t have entrusted his care to any other vet hospital.
In my opinion, Canberra Vet Hospital is by far the best vet practice in the country. It is staffed with vets with very high level skills in a variety of disciplines, from orthopaedic surgery, to oncology and ultrasonography to name just a few and the vets liaise closely with top specialists in the field from other States. They also possess first class diagnostic skills and importantly, combine that excellence with a kind, compassionate and caring outlook.
My cat Puffy came to know the vets, nurses and receptionists as a second family and I could never have left him in the care of anyone else. Importantly for me, Puffy trusted the staff at Canberra Vet Hospital and he knew they were the best. He went from being an initially semi-wild cat frightened of everybody, to a placid, cuddly, domesticated relaxed boy who loved all the staff.
When I had to leave him at the vet for days at a time it was always a wrench for me but I was always tremendously comforted by the fact that Puffy loved his second family at Canberra Vet Hospital and trusted them. They are gems. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Canberra Veterinary Hospital has provided comprehensive veterinary care for me and my Miniature Schnauzers for over 17 years. During this time I have bred several litters, shown and obedience trialled my dogs and brought other dogs for treatment including a resident dog in an Aged Care Facility. The dogs and I have at all times been treated with respect, efficiency, competency, professionalism and when needed, compassion. A major factor of the expert care is the depth and breadth of experience contained in the Hospital with the number and quality of the veterinarians.
I am extremely appreciative of the care shown to me and the dogs and will continue to recommend Canberra Veterinary Hospital as the optimum venue for veterinary care.
A huge thank you to the team at Canberra Vet Hospital for looking after our beloved family pet, Maxie. Although 12 years old little Maxie has always been fit and healthy so it was an extremely worrying time when Maxie suddenly became very ill. During a period of uncertainty, the staff not only looked after Maxie but provided us with emotional support, realistic expectations and regular progress reports.
Thankfully after persistent testing, a successful treatment regime was administered and little Maxie was quickly on her road to recovery.
Once again thank you!!
I have had the privilege and good fortune to be associated as a customer with Canberra Veterinary Hospital for many years. I have found that the Vets there are professional, technically knowledgeable, caring and helpful with my animals and me, and what rounds out my personal experience with this Hospital is that the receptionists are just as professional, technically knowledgeable, caring and helpful as the Vets which makes my visits there very satisfying. I know when I visit this Vet Hospital that I will be receiving excellent service in all aspects of the care given to my animals and myself. I have always considered the Canberra Veterinary Hospital as First Class in animal and people care and service.
We just want to express our heartfelt thanks for the excellent care you provided for ‘Koko’ over her last few weeks. We will be forever grateful for the care you gave her – you all went over and above and we thank you for that!
